Sandals Golf and Country Club

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

The Sandals Golf and Country Club used to be the Upton Golf Club situated in the small village of Upton in the hills above Ocho Rios. The Upton Golf Club opened in 1951.

It was a lovely 9 hole course with some beautiful views, and it was purchased by Sandals Resorts International in 1992,and the course was then expanded to an 18 hole par 71 course, with a length of 6502 yds.

The small greens were all Tifdwarf, but Paspalum is now being tried and has been introduced on the par 5 16th. The narrow fairways are regular Bermuda grass.

The result is another top quality Jamaican golf course, superb views, and some very enjoyable golf.

The Clubhouse and facilities are excellent, as are all Sandals Golf Resorts in the Caribbean, and golf at this course is inclusive for guests staying in any of the Sandals Resorts in Jamaica.

And even if you are not staying at a Sandals Resort don't miss the opportunity of playing this lovely course.
