This is the Jamaican Sorrel Drink that you enjoyed so much.
- 1 lb fresh sorrel
- 3/4 lb fresh ginger coarsely grated
- 2 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups Rum
- Add 4 quarts of boiling water to the sorrel and grated ginger
- Let sit for 24 hours - any longer and it will start to ferment
- Strain though cheesecloth
- Add the sugar and the rum and stir until the sugar is disolved
Bottle and keep refridgerated.
