Susan, born and raised in Springdale Cove, Irish Town spent a few years elsewhere on the island, and then decided to return to her parent's house and refurbish it.

Anxious to share this taste of paradise with everyone, she decided, with the help of her husband Rafael, to open Rafjam Bed & Breakfast ... a bed and breakfast which can host up to 22 persons in guest houses and cottages, and 20 using tents.

That was in 2009 ... today Rafjam is her passion and she runs it efficiently and proudly.

This real Jamaican lady will welcome you, and do whatever she can to make sure that you enjoy your stay.

She has built up a pleasant, friendly and committed team who go out of their way to assist her guests and make their visit to Jamaica an unforgettable one.

You will feel at home, part of the family, and your only wish upon departure will be to return soon!!!

Only 45 minutes from Kingston's airport, and 4 hours from Montego Bay airport, Rafjams Bed and Breakfast is a unique family oriented property welcoming children ... ideal for nature lovers, birdwatchers and those who just want to hike in the Blue Mountains.

Rafjam would hardly be perfect without a nice place to chill-out while tasting a local Red Stripe, or a cup of the best coffee in the world, and listening to the sweet rhythms of reggae.

That's why the Tiki Bar was created, where everybody is welcome.

The bar is built over the river, and a few steps lead you to some natural pools where you and your children can indulge yourself in the cool crystal clear water.

In the restaurant guests enjoy the simple familiar ways of cooking. Fresh food is cooked to order, and if you have dietary restrictions, or if you just want something that is not on the menu, they will be happy to prepare it for you.

There are also local bars, shops and entertainment in the nearby district for you to enjoy.

Tours are offered and can be arranged throughout the Blue Mountains, Kingston, or anywhere else in the island.

Rafjam won a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2012 with a 4.5 star, and one for 2013 with a 5 star. They have consistently been in the top ten Bed and Breakfast, Guest Houses and Inns on the Island out of 160 listed.

Room Descriptions

Bird Nest is a double room with, at your choice, 2 single beds or 1 queen size bed. It has its own private bathroom with hot shower.
The rate per person per night is US$40, breakfast included.

Nature Suite is a large room with a queen size bed and its own private bathroom with hot shower.
The price per person per night is US$ 50, including breakfast.

The Van Gogh Room has a queen size bed. It shares a common bathroom with the Eischer room. Van Gogh is located in the new house. It overlooks the river at the back and is the best located to welcome the first rays of sun.
The rate per person per night is US$35, including breakfast

The Eischer Room is a large bedroom opening on a balcony. It shares its bathroom with Van Gogh. It has one double bed and one single bed. It is a bright and relaxing room.
The rate per person is US$40/night, breakfast included or, rented as a suite with private bathroom, US$50 per night per person, including breakfast.

Bedrock Cottage is a two bedroom apartment built on and between rocks, bedrock can host up to 8 persons.
Bedrock has its own private pool, terrace and barbecue area.
Designed by Susan, the inside perfectly integrates natural elements. It has 2 large bedrooms with, each, 2 double beds. There is a living room and small kitchen facilities. But the masterpiece of the cottage is it's bathroom that will give you the desire to take a bath as often as possible!
The cottage is usually rented US$150 per night for up to 4 persons or US$250 per night from 5 to 8 persons.
