Swimmers Bay Beach - Jamaica

by Ainsley Henriques, Director
(Stanton, Morant Bay )

Swimmers Bay Beach in Lyssons, St Thomas, Jamaica, once a derelict public beach which had been neglected for some 30 to 40 years, is now another of our fabulous public beaches.

In 2009 this quarter mile white sand beach with some 7 acres of lawns behind, was leased and restored by Eastern Attractions Ltd, an NGO created by St. Thomas Parishioners.

There is no charge to swim, but there is a parking fee for cars and buses, and a daily charge for the use of the modern changing facilities and bathrooms.

The beach can be rented for functions but admission can only be charged to the private lawn, and other patrons still have access to the beach.

For further information please contact the manager, Ms. Loy Gilzene.

She can be reached at (876) 887 7842.
